Yeji Rainstorm Displaces Over 100 Residents, Leaving Them Homeless

“Yeji in the Pru East District is currently facing a dire situation as a result of a sudden and intense rainstorm lasting two hours, leaving more than 100 residents without homes. This unexpected deluge, which commenced on Tuesday afternoon, was accompanied by formidable winds and thunderstorms.

The aftermath of this devastating rainstorm has wrought extensive damage to both private residences and local businesses, including the Yeji Senior High Technical School. The entire community now finds itself submerged under floods.

In response to this catastrophe, those who have lost their homes and belongings are seeking refuge with neighbors fortunate enough to have salvaged their properties. In the midst of this crisis, the residents of Yeji are urgently appealing for assistance.

Their plea extends to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and local authorities, specifically the District Chief Executive (DCE), imploring them to come to their aid during this trying time.”
