The taxi driver and local hero, Kwabena Boahen popularly known as Cote d’ivoire who rescued several persons trapped under the collapsed church building at Akyem Batabi, has debunked rumours that he has been recruited into the military.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kofi Adoma on Kofi TV, Cote d’Ivoire revealed that nobody has contacted him to show appreciation for the patriotic service he rendered or offer him any sort of assistance after the tragic incident that occurred.

According to him,the NADMO officials and rescue team did not give him even a pesewa of the money the Vice President of Ghana,Mahamadu Bawumia brought to them.

Cote d’ivoire emphasized that, he wholeheartedly decided to lend a helping hand without expecting any returns or reward.
