This was made known by the Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia on his social media handle.

My condolences to the family and the Muslim community on the passing of Sheikh Salisu Shaban. May his soul rest in Peace”
It is expected that the Islamic Cleric will be buried according to Islamic Sharia. Therefore, he could be buried later or the early hours on 28th April, 2021.
The Second Gentleman did not give details about the cause of Shayhk Shaban’s untimely demise.
Shayhk Shaban’s death is the second time the Muslim community in Ghana has lost a high profile personality since the turn of this year.
